The journey begins early in the morning, as stable weather conditions make morning flights ideal for helicopter operations. After collecting your packed breakfast from the hotel, you will check out and proceed to Sahastradhara Helipad for your flight.
As helicopter logistics require careful weight management, each passenger is allowed to carry a maximum of 5 kg of luggage, and additional baggage can be safely stored at the hotel. After a short drive of around 10 minutes, you will board the helicopter for a scenic flight to Kharsali Helipad. Upon arrival, our ground staff will escort you to your hotel for check-in and brief rest. Later, you will begin your journey to Yamunotri Dham, which involves a trek of approximately 6 km (round trip 5–6 hours depending on pace and availability of palkis or ponies). Surrounded by pristine mountains and spiritual energy, the visit to Yamunotri Temple offers a deeply peaceful experience. After darshan, you will return to the resort and relax for the evening. Overnight stay in Kharsali.
After breakfast, you will check out and head towards the helipad for your helicopter transfer to Harsil, one of the most scenic destinations in the Chardham region. Known for its apple orchards, river views, and peaceful Himalayan setting, Harsil offers a refreshing and serene environment. Upon landing at Harsil Helipad, our team will guide you to your hotel for check-in.
Later, you will drive approximately 25 km to Gangotri Dham, a journey that takes around an hour through beautiful mountain roads. At Gangotri Temple, you will experience the sacred presence of the River Ganga in its purest form. After darshan, you will return to Harsil. If time permits, you may explore Shiv Temple in Harsil, Bagodi Village, and Mukhwa Village, which offer glimpses of traditional Himalayan life and natural beauty. The calm surroundings make this day both spiritually enriching and visually rewarding. Overnight stay in Harsil.
Post breakfast, you will check out and proceed to the helipad for your flight to Phata or Guptkashi. As per state government guidelines, helicopter operations to Kedarnath are managed through shuttle services from this point. Upon arrival, you will switch to the shuttle helicopter service, which will take you to Kedarnath Helipad. The sacred Kedarnath Temple is located approximately 500 meters from the helipad, making the walk manageable for most pilgrims. Darshan at the temple generally takes around 2 hours, depending on the crowd and weather conditions.
If time and conditions permit, pilgrims may also visit Bhairon Temple (optional), located at a short walking distance and known for its spiritual significance. After darshan, you will return via shuttle helicopter to Phata/Guptkashi and proceed to your hotel for rest. Please note that waiting time of 1–2 hours at Phata may occur due to weather, passenger load, or shuttle scheduling, which is a normal part of helicopter operations in this region. Overnight stay in Guptkashi.
After breakfast, you will proceed to Phata/Guptkashi Helipad for your helicopter flight to Badrinath. Upon landing at the helipad near Badrinath, you will be transferred by car to your hotel for check-in.
Later, you will visit the sacred Badrinath Temple, dedicated to Lord Vishnu, where darshan usually takes around 1–2 hours depending on crowd conditions. The spiritual atmosphere of Badrinath, set against the majestic Himalayan backdrop, marks the completion of the Chardham pilgrimage. You may also visit nearby attractions such as Tapt Kund (hot springs) and attend Evening Aarti at Badrinath Temple (direct payment basis).
If time permits, a visit to Mana Village, known as the last village on the Indian side before the Tibet border, can be arranged. This day signifies the spiritual culmination of the journey, allowing pilgrims to absorb the divine energy of the region. Overnight stay in Badrinath.
After breakfast, you will check out and proceed to Badrinath Helipad for your return helicopter flight to Sahastradhara, Dehradun. The estimated arrival time is around 08:15 AM, subject to weather and operational conditions. Upon landing, you will be transferred to the hotel to collect your stored baggage and prepare for your onward journey.
From here, you will be assisted with transfers to the airport or railway station as per your departure schedule. As the Chardham Yatra concludes, you carry with you not just memories of scenic landscapes and sacred temples, but also a sense of spiritual fulfilment and peaceful reflection from visiting Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath.
Yes, biometric registration is mandatory for all pilgrims undertaking the Chardham Yatra. It helps authorities track movement and ensure safety across all four shrines. Registration can be done online or at designated centers en route.
The Chardham Yatra typically begins in late April or early May and continues until October or early November, depending on weather conditions. The temples open around Akshaya Tritiya and close before winter due to heavy snowfall.
Yes, a single registration covers all four shrines—Yamunotri Temple, Gangotri Temple, Kedarnath Temple, and Badrinath Temple. However, travelers must select their travel dates and sequence while registering.
The traditional sequence followed by pilgrims is: Yamunotri → Gangotri → Kedarnath → Badrinath. This order is considered spiritually significant and is also the most practical route in terms of travel flow.
Weather in the Himalayas can be unpredictable, and delays due to rain, landslides, or road closures are possible. Authorities actively monitor conditions and manage routes for safety. It’s important to keep buffer days in your plan and follow official advisories during the Chardham Yatra.
